FIRST REGIONAL GRANTS $150,000 TERTIARY LEVEL BURSARY

First Regional's Tertiary Level Bursary for the year 2011 has been awarded to Kadian Dingel, a third year student at the Vocational Training Development Institute, in Kingston.

The Bursary, valued at one-hundred and fifty-thousand dollars ($150,000) was presented to Mr. Dingel at First Regional's annual Scholarship Award Ceremony, held at the Hibiscus Lodge Hotel, Ocho Rios, on July 27, 2011.

President of the Credit Union Mr. Hopeton Henry, noted that the Bursary seeks to reward academic excellence, while encouraging and supporting financially challenged students needing to undertake tertiary level studies.

To be eligible, the candidate must be a First Regional member attending a recognized tertiary institution, and pursuing studies leading to a Diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree.  

Mr. Dingel was one of four candidates short listed.
